Download funktioniert nur für 240p
Beim download als MP3 funktioniert der Download nur mit 240p. Bei besseren Qualitäten erscheint keine Datei im Ordner. Das Problem tritt bei mir auf 2 Rechnern mit Ubuntu auf.

Unicode languages & Mac OS X
Hi! A quick question: why unicode (Am i right?) languages (Like Russia, Chinese, Japanese) ar properly handled by Windows version but Mac OS X version does not? On a Mac, the non-latin characters in the movie name are simply removed from it, usually leading to an empty filename.
Additionally, if you accidentally hit "Save" with no filename, two problems occurs: 1) a popup opens saying that a file named like the *folder* selected in the dialog already exist and asking to replace it 2) when clicking "Cancel" on that popup, even if you enter a filename the "Save" button is…

Fehlermeldung bzgl. "ffmpeg"
Habe mit der aktuellen Version von Clip Grab unter Mac OSX 4.0.2. folgende Fehlermeldung: "Das Programm ffmpeg wurde unerwartet beendet". Wieso?? Könnt ihr weiterhelfen? Mp3 kann nicht konvertiert werden, ich kann nur das Originalformat (youtube) herunterladen----welches mir nicht taugt! schade

eine unter 64bit lauffähige precompiled Version angeboten wird!
Die Precompiled Version ist unter 'Linux Arch10 3.8.5-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Mar 29 19:18:14 CET 2013 x86_64 GNU/Linux' nicht lauffähig:
bash: ./clipgrab-3.2.0.10: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden.
Die selbe Datei läuft unter 'Linux Arch05 3.8.5-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Mar 29 20:45:06 CET 2013 i686 GNU/Linux' (32bit) problemlos!
Nur selbstkomipliert ist Clipgrab unter 64bit zum Laufen zu bekommen!1 vote -
Sign in to confirm your age
I don't know if this is possible, but it would be great being able to "sign in to confirm your age", thus downloading "restricted" clips like red band trailers and so on.
So far ClipGrab can even list those videos in the search tab, but when you click one (Or directly paste an URL) it simply reports "Could not retrieve video link".

das Fehlen von ffmpeg erkannt wird.
Unter Linux wird nicht korrekt erkannt wenn ffmpeg fehlt. Stattdessen gaukelt es dem Nutzer erfolgreiche Aktionen vor, obwohl keine Dateien angelegt wurden.

The downloaded clip from youtube is NOT shown in the download folder! :(
The completely downloaded clip is Not showed in the download folder.
The clip is from YouTube, which I tried to save as MP3 (Only Audio) format.

could not retrieve video title
i'm using clipgrab 3.2.0.10 for mac and i cannot downloading any video from dailymotion. it's said "could not retrieve video title".

Error creating SSL context

i download a clip and specify where it is to be saved but after completion I can not find it anywhere on the computer ...
does anyone have any idea why this should be?

Seit dem 18.12.12 treten beim Download von YouTube Probleme auf
Version 3.2.0.9 für Mac auf MacOSX 10.7.5
Folgende Phänomene treten auf:
1. Der Download wird scheinbar gestartet, ist aber nach ca. 2 Sekunden "fertig", eine Datei (egal in welchem Format) wird nicht erzeugt.
2. Der Server meldet "forbidden", dieses Verhalten ist jedoch nicht eindeutig reproduzierbar.
3. Der Download funktioniert.Gibt es eine Lösung, um diese Inkonsistenzen zu vermeiden?

In der Zwichenzeit: Versuchen Sie einfach mehrfach, den Link neu einzufügen (damit die Daten neu geladen werden) und den Download zu starten. Normalerweise sollte es nach einigen Versuchen klappen.

Detect failed downloads
If a download fails, currently ClipGrab simply saves the partial file and removes it from the queue as if it was a successful download: maybe checking for timeout errors, or comparing the original file size with the downloaded size could allow to restart a broken download. Also, it would be useful being able to copy the URL of a downloading/downloaded movie. Does make sense?

ClipGrab prompts for Update (from 3.2.0.9 to 3.2.0.10) but it seems there is no 3.2.0.10 for Linux (just for Mac and Windows).

Ich habe Clipgrab 3.2.0.9 unter OS X 10.6.8, es speichert aber die Heruntergeladenen MP3's (Quelle: Youtube) nicht ab?
Habe es bereits neu im Applications-Folder installiert, den Speicherort mehrmals geändert. Manchmal lädt es die Videos garnicht, sondern es erscheint direkt folgende Fehlermeldung:

Ich finde das Programm super. Tolle Benutzeroberfläche, einfach zu bedienen, genau das, was man sich als User wünscht. Allerdings hat es nun schon öfters die Enden von längeren Youtube-Videos abgeschnitten, ohne dass ich das auf den ersten Blick gemerkt habe.
Damit ist es für mich nicht praxistauglich.1 vote -
Automatischer Download über Zwischenablage ohne Nachfrage
um schneller die download-liste selektiv von unterschiedlichen quellen her füllen zu können wäre mein vorschlag:
nach jedem hinzufügen einer video-url in die zwischenablage, wird wird das betreffende video automatisch, ohne programm-nachfrage der download-liste hinzugefügt.
ausserdem wäre es praktisch, wenn man optional
a) ein standard format / qualiät einstellen kann
b) downloads nicht sofort gestartet werden12 votes -
Proxy´s und ihre Verwendung
auf der Seite http://www.hidemyass.com/proxy-list/ findet man recht viele und aktuelle Proxy´s allerdings funktioniert diese Funktionalität
unter MAC OS Lion Mountain nicht (egal ob man HTTP oder Socks5 verwendet). ClipGrap zeigt trotz korrekter Einstellungen keinerlei Ergebnisse ......
Aber neben diesem Fehler fände ich es sehr gut, wenn man einfach per Klick einen Proxy aus der Liste übernehmen könnte.Außerdem wäre die Auswahl der zu durchsuchenden Videoquellen per Klick ne feine Sache und wen man mehr als 8 Resultate sehen könnte
dann könnte man die Suche gleich direkt in ClipGrap machen und müsste nicht immer zwischen Browser und CG wechseln...Ansonsten *DaumenHoch*…

Automatically start download (with default format / quality chosen by user)
Hi guys, thanks for clipgrab it's a great application!
Here is my idea:
* automatically start downloading the video when it is found in the clipboard, especially when several formats or qualities are discoveredMaybe it would require to add several options (default format, default quality for automatic start downloading) in the settings panel.
